What is Competitive intelligence?
Business
or Competitive intelligence is the life blood of your organisation - knowing
what your competitors are doing, how you rank, and how investors and partners
see you is critical to your decisions. Whether you need to analyse your
competitors' pricing strategies, market positioning, or overall strategy
you need competitive intelligence.
It is the intelligence - not the information - that helps you respond
with the right market tactic or long-term decision. To say that "the
insurance company is launching a new product," or "the competitor's
level of production is up to 90% of its capacity," is merely information.
It becomes actionable intelligence when you can conclude that "the
manufacturer has reached a cost position that will eliminate us from the
market, unless we can reduce our overheads," or "the insurance
company's new product is only a me-too introduction and is no immediate
threat. We can wait..."
Unfortunately, the term is widely misunderstood, diluting the power of
the Competitive Intelligence concept. Competitive Intelligence is more
than just data or information - it is in essence "analysed information".

How long does it take for you to complete my request?
Obviously, this depends on the nature and complexity of your request.
Your request will be assessed immediately after delivery, and you will
be contacted to establish a deadline. The deadline will depend on the
amount of time needed to complete your request and how many other requests
we are currently handling when you make your request.
How much do you charge?
For our standard products, we charge as follows:
Company Profile:
€350 + database expenses
Presentation of all publicly available and relevant company information
in a standard text format
Company Factbook:
€1,500 + database expenses
Presentation and analysis of all relevant and publicly available company
information in a standard graphics format
Company or Industry newsletter: €810/month + database expenses Weekly e-mail with relevant abstracts of German, English, and/or Spanish press articles according to your search profile
Business Intelligence
Requests: €95/hour + database expenses
All other requests which go beyond our standard products and require the
skills of an experienced researcher

guarantee that the information you are seeking will be found, but we must
still charge for the search time involved.
